Developed
in April, 2010, the Borrego Springs Pedestrian Area
Plan is part of the County of San Diego Pedestrian
Master Plan (PMP), a project prepared for the
County’s Department of Planning and Land Use (DPLU)
and funded by a grant from the San Diego Association
of Governments (SANDAG). It includes recommended
Parkway Zone Improvements, Walkability Improvements,
Intersection Improvements and Traffic Calming
changes to the areas surrounding Borrego’s downtown.
These improvements are aimed at providing a
well-designed pedestrian environment that is
suitable to maintain safety and encourage pedestrian
activity.
